Edward James 'Ed' Begley Jr. (born September 16, 1949) is a renowned American actor and prominent environmentalist. Best known for his role as Dr. Victor Ehrlich on the television series St. Elsewhere from 1982 to 1988, Begley Jr.'s outstanding performance garnered him six consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award nomination. Versatile in his talents, he is also recognized for co-hosting the green living reality show titled Living with Ed from 2007 to 2010 with his wife, Rachelle Carson. He has made significant contributions to cinema with films such as An Officer and a Gentleman, This Is Spinal Tap, and The Accidental Tourist. A talented radio artist too, he voiced Boba Fett in the radio adaptation of Return of the Jedi. Born to Allene Jeanne Sanders and Oscar-winning film actor Ed Begley in Los Angeles, California, he has made a significant impact on both television and film industry since the beginning of his career in 1967. A prominent environmental activist since 1970, Begley Jr. is reputed for his eco-friendly lifestyle and initiatives as well.
