Ferdia Walsh-Peelo

Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, born on 12 October 1999, is a multifaceted Irish talent who holds expertise in acting, music, and composing. He shot into prominence with his debut film role in the musical titled 'Sing Street' in 2016. Afterward, he made a significant mark in the television industry with his performance in the History series 'Vikings' from 2017 to 2020. Ferdia didn't stop there, he made continued appearances in notable films such as 'Here Are the Young Men' in 2020 and 'CODA' in 2021. Born in Ashford, County Wicklow, he was encouraged in music and acting from a young age, receiving personal vocal coaching from his mother, soprano Toni Walsh. At just seven years old, Ferdia commenced his musical career as a boy soprano, winning many accolades during his early career. By twelve, he was cast in Mozart's Magic Flute, which toured Ireland, and went on to play the part of Miles in Britten's Turn of the Screw. His breakthrough in acting came with John Carney's 2016 musical comedy-drama film 'Sing Street'. He subsequently held significant roles in 'Vikings' and other works in the following years. In 2021, he gained widespread praise for his role as Miles in the Sundance Film Festival hit 'CODA'. Ferdia also showed his musical talents through his band 'The Fynches'. Outside of his entertainment career, he involves himself in charity, serving as an Ambassador for UNICEF Ireland's program Emergency Lessons, focused on providing education to children in emergencies.
