Gaby Espino (María Gabriela Espino Rugero) was born on November 15, 1977 in Caracas, Venezuela, the daughter of a chemical engineer and a publicist. She grew up in a multilingual household that blended Spanish, Native Venezuelan, and Lebanese cultural influences, and she is the eldest of five siblings, sharing her childhood with a sister, two paternal half‑brothers and a maternal half‑sister. Although her early fascination with animals led her to consider a veterinary career, she later pursued dentistry before ultimately studying public relations, a decision that paved the way for her entrance into the entertainment world.
