Haaz Sleiman (/ˈhɑːz ˈsleɪmən/; Arabic: هاز سليمان; born July 1, 1976) is a celebrated Lebanese actor renowned for his versatility and engaging performances. Born in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Sleiman moved to the United States at the age of twenty-one. He started his acting journey, making notable impressions with his roles in ER and Company Town and eventually gained widespread recognition for his position in The Visitor, earning a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male. This was followed by a memorable performance as Jesus in the American TV mini-series Killing Jesus, among numerous other TV series both thrillers and comedies alike. In recent years, Sleiman has continued to captivate audiences with roles in critically acclaimed productions such as The State, Venice, and Nikita. Not just limited to acting, his dedication and talent have begun to leave imprints on stage performances as well. Offstage, Sleiman leads a personal life as enriched as his professional one.
