Jacob Batalon

**Jacob Andres Batalon**, an American actor who was born on October 9, 1996, in Honolulu, Hawaii, found international recognition for portraying Ned Leeds in five Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) superhero films. Batalon's superb acting journey began with Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), and he continued to draw attention with cameo roles in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). His significant supporting roles in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) further propel him into fame. Aside from the Spider-Man films, Batalon has also graced the online ecosystem, appearing in the web series The Daily Bugle (2019–2021) and Netflix film Let It Snow (2019). More recently, Batalon depicts the titular character in the Syfy television series, Reginald the Vampire (2022–2024). Born to Filipino migrant parents, Billy Batalon and Vangie Andres from Pangasinan, Batalon is one of eight siblings. His journey into acting is incredibly fascinating, being supported by his mother who often joined him at auditions. Significantly, his cultural heritage is depicted in an episode of 'Reginald the Vampire,' where Batalon spoke in the Ilocano language. After schooling at St. Anthony's School and Damien Memorial School, Batalon began studying music theory at Kapiʻolani Community College. However, unveiling a passion for acting, he left early and undertook a two-year program at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. His first acting role was in the 2016 film North Woods notching up the years active from 2016 to the present. Highlighting his adaptability, Batalon displayed his commitment to his craft by losing 102 pounds (46 kg) for his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
