Born on December 18, 1972, Jason Mantzoukas is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and podcaster. He first gained recognition for his recurring role as Rafi in the FX comedy series The League, followed by his role as Nadal in The Dictator and then as a co-host for the popular podcast, How Did This Get Made? His career kicked-off as an improv comedian and he continues to shine in comedic roles on both film and television. Some notable appearances include John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Sleeping with Other People, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place. He also provides voice-over work for animated series such as Big Mouth, Close Enough, and Invincible. \n\n Mantzoukas hails from Nahant, Massachusetts. Raised as an eldest child in a Greek-American family, he also has a younger sister, Melissa. He has always shown a keen interest in music and comedy, studying drums from the age of 10 and participating in comedy sketches while in high school. After attending Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, he moved to New York City in 1998 and further nurtured his comedy career at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. He has also worked in the computer graphics department at J.P. Morgan for over three years. With an impressive voice acting career, he continues to keep his audience entertained. He replaced T.J. Miller as the voice of Mr. Mucus for Mucinex commercials and was cast as Dionysus/Mr.D in the Disney+ adaptation of Percy Jackson & the Olympians in 2022.
