Her acting career began in 1969 and she graced the theatrical world with her Broadway debut in the production '6 Rms Riv Vu' in 1972. This performance brought her recognition and she was honored with a Theatre World Award. Over the years, Warren featured in multiple critically acclaimed films. Some of the notable ones include 'Sam's Song' (1969), 'Night Moves' (1975), 'Slap Shot' (1977), and 'Fatal Beauty' (1987). Timely, her performance as the frustrated wife of hockey player Paul Newman in the movie Slap Shot was highly applauded. Also, she made her mark in TV shows guest-starring in notable ones like 'The Bob Newhart Show', 'Kojak', 'Cagney & Lacey', and 'Murder, She Wrote'. Besides her acting career, Jennifer Warren is known for her directorial work. She made her directorial debut with the film 'The Beans of Egypt, Maine' in 1994 which starred Martha Plimpton, Kelly Lynch, and Rutger Hauer. Her second directorial feature was 'Partners in Crime', released in 1998. An advocate for the advancement of women, Warren is a founding member and past president of the Alliance of Woman Directors. She has imparted knowledge by teaching at renowned institutions such as Wesleyan University, Johns Hopkins University, and University of Tel Aviv and continues to contribute to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Women in Film.
