Jim Cummings, born as James Jonah Cummings on November 3, 1952, is an iconic American voice actor and podcaster with a prolific career that started in the mid-1980s. Over the years, he has performed over 400 on-screen and voice roles, becoming a frequent collaborator with the Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. He has been the official voice of Winnie the Pooh since 1988, Tigger since 1989, the Tasmanian Devil since 1991, and Peg Leg Pete since 1992. Some of his other acclaimed roles are Fat Cat and Monterey Jack in Rescue Rangers, title character of Darkwing Duck, Kaa in Jungle Cubs and The Jungle Book 2, Cat in CatDog, and Police Chief Gluteus in Ozzy & Drix. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Cummings moved to New Orleans after graduation, where he ventured into various fields before launching his voice acting career in 1984. His early work includes roles in Dumbo's Circus. His talent for mimicking voice allowed him to serve as voice double for many other renowned actors. Additionally, Cummings has also voiced original characters like Fat Cat and Don Karnage. His career in the 21st century includes reprising classic roles for live-action films, like Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in Christopher Robin. From June 2023, he hosts a podcast Toon'd In with Jim Cummings where he discusses his experiences and interviews other voice artists.
