Joshua Carter Jackson, known simply as Joshua Jackson, is a multi-faceted actor with Canadian-American citizenship. Known for his remarkable versatility, Jackson shot to fame for his portrayal of Pacey Witter on The WB's teen drama Dawson's Creek (1998–2003). His other notable television roles include Peter Bishop in the Fox science fiction series Fringe (2008–2013), Cole Lockhart on Showtime's The Affair (2014–2018), Dan Gallagher in the Paramount+ series Fatal Attraction, and Dr. Christopher Duntsch in the Peacock crime drama series Dr. Death (2021), for which he was nominated for the 2022 Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Limited Series. Since 2024, Jackson plays the character Dr. Max Bankman in the ABC series Doctor Odyssey. He also appeared in When They See Us (2019), and Little Fires Everywhere (2020).

Outside of television, Jackson's film career boasts credits from Magic in the Water to Cruel Intentions and One Week (2008), which earned him a Genie Award in 2010 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. His acting credits extend back to the early 1990s with The Mighty Ducks film series. Jackson's career extends to stage performances as well, making his debut in London's West End in David Mamet's two-man play, A Life in the Theatre. His Broadway debut came in 2018, where he played an unconventional teacher in Children of a Lesser God.
