Kay Ann Lenz, born on March 4, 1953, is a prestigious American actress known for her notable works and multiple award winnings in both daytime and Primetime Emmy Award. Born to actor and producer Ted Lenz and a radio engineer and professional model, Kay Miller Lenz in Los Angeles, California, she made her debut as a baby on a show produced by her father. She started her acting career with stage name Kay Ann Kemper, transforming to Kay Lenz after her third role, a brief one in American Graffiti filmed in 1972.

Lenz began her career as a child actress featuring in 'This Is the Life' when she was just 14. Later, she made appearances in notable television shows like The Andy Griffith Show under the stage name Kay Ann Kemper. Her breakthrough came in the title-role performance as Breezy (1973) which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Lenz also made guest appearances in several popular shows including The Streets of San Francisco, Gunsmoke, MacGyver, McCloud, Cannon, and Petrocelli. Besides films, she was also featured in Rod Stewart's music video for 'Infatuation' in 1984, winning a Primetime Emmy Award in 1989 for Midnight Caller. More recently, she played the lead role in the miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man which earned her an Emmy Award nomination.
