Kentucker Audley

Andrew Michael Nenninger, known professionally as Kentucker Audley, is a distinguished American filmmaker and actor. Having started his career in 2006, he has marked his presence in the industry with various significant contributions. In 2007, he was recognized on the Filmmaker Magazine list of 25 New Faces of Independent Film. Initially, Audley was heavily associated with the Southern mumblecore movement, and his first feature film, Team Picture (2007), positioned him as a leading figure within it. He gained initial enthusiasm for film when he watched Wes Anderson's Bottle Rocket (1996) while still in middle school. Over the years, he has drawn inspiration from notable figures such as Jim Jarmusch, John Cassavetes, and Jean-Luc Godard. In 2011, he founded the independent film platform NoBudge, initially as a Tumblr blog. This platform later expanded into a full website in 2015, providing a dedicated space for independent films.

Audley was born and brought up in the heart of the United States, St. Louis, Missouri. He later resided in Lexington, Kentucky. His academic journey took him from Savannah College of Art & Design to Midlands Technical College, and then to in the University of Memphis where he graduated in 2005 with a degree in film and video production. The pseudonym 'Kentucker' is a nostalgic tribute to his home state, Kentucky. Currently, he lives in Brooklyn with his wife and collaborator, Caroline White, who he met in 2005 at Graceland in Memphis. They got married in July 2016 at Box Hill Estate on Long Island, New York.
