Kristina Adolphson is a Swedish film actress whose career spanned the golden age of Swedish cinema and extended into the modern era. Born on 2 September 1937 in Stockholm, she grew up in a household steeped in the performing arts; her father, Edvin Adolphson, was a celebrated actor and director, while her mother, Mildred Mehle, was a respected actress of the silent and early sound periods. This artistic lineage also included her brother, the noted singer Olle Adolphson, creating an environment that nurtured her early interest in the stage and screen. Kristina made her screen debut in the early 1950s, with her first credited role appearing in The Beat of Wings in the Night (1953), and quickly established herself as a versatile talent capable of handling both dramatic and comedic material.
