Liam Hemsworth

**Liam Hemsworth** (born 13 January 1990) is an Australian actor. Celebrated for his roles in several popular television series and films, Hemsworth has made a lasting impact in the entertainment industry. His career started in Australian soap and children's television, scoring roles of Josh Taylor in *Neighbours* and Marcus in *The Elephant Princess*. His big break came in American films where he bagged roles in *The Last Song* (2010), *The Hunger Games* film series (2012–2015), and *Independence Day: Resurgence* (2016). Born in Melbourne, Australia, to English teacher Leonie (née van Os) and social-services counsellor Craig Hemsworth, Liam comes from a family of talented actors, including his two older brothers, Chris and Luke Hemsworth. His ancestry is diverse, a blend of Irish, English, German, and Scottish roots. After relocating to Phillip Island with his family during his 8th grade, he later moved to the United States in 2009 to further pursue his acting career. His initial days in the U.S. involved staying at his brother's manager's guest house before earning enough to rent their own apartment in Los Angeles. His career began in earnest after a series of guest appearances on TV shows, with his role in *Neighbours*, marking his first significant recurring character. Eventually, he moved to even bigger film roles. Hemsworth attended charity events and even hosted the Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards 2010.
