What's After the Movie
**Lyna Khoudri** is an award-winning Algerian-French actress. Born on October 3, 1992, in Algiers, Algeria, her life has been a remarkable journey. In early life, due to her father's profession as a journalist during the Algerian Civil War, her family had to move to Aubervilliers, France, when she was only two years old. At 18, she acquired French citizenship and pursued her professional training at Théâtre national de la Colline in Paris. Fluent in French, Arabic and English, she made her acting debut in 2014 in the French television series Josephine, Guardian Angel. A pivotal moment in Khoudri's career came in 2017, when she won the Orizzonti Award for Best Actress at the 74th Venice International Film Festival for her role in 'The Blessed'. Success continued when she won the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 2020 for her role in 'Papicha'. In 2021, she played a student activist in Wes Anderson's 'The French Dispatch', and two years later, she portrayed Constance Bonacieux in 'The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan' and 'The Three Musketeers: Milady'. Notably, she has also been a brand ambassador for the French fashion house Chanel since 2022. On the horizon, Khoudri is set to voice the female lead in the French-Belgian animated film 'In Waves', and she will star in Tarik Saleh's political thriller, 'Eagles of the Republic'.
