**Margaret Colin**, born May 26, 1958, is a celebrated American actress known for her versatile roles in both television and film. Raised in Baldwin, New York, she made her mark in the acting industry with roles such as Margo Hughes on *As the World Turns* and Eleanor Waldorf-Rose on *Gossip Girl*. Her early acting career commenced with the soap opera *The Edge of Night*, where she brilliantly portrayed an heiress and former terrorist. Gracing primetime television, she was featured in shows like *Foley Square*, *Legwork*, and *Chicago Hope*. She played Lisa Wiseman on the 1999 series *Now and Again*, and in 2003, appeared in an episode of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*. From 2007 to 2012, Margaret brought the character Eleanor Waldorf to life on the teen drama series *Gossip Girl*.
