Born on May 31, 1991, in Owatonna, Minnesota, she was raised in Severn, Maryland, and Alexandria, Minnesota. The world of art was introduced to her early in life, as she embarked on her journey to dance at the age of five at Baltimore School for the Arts student recitals. Towley stands as a proud mixed-race individual, being the daughter of a white engineer father and a black accountant mother. Her academic life was marked by a significant achievement as she earned a degree in dance from the proclaimed College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, paving her way for a successful career ahead. Her breakthrough arrived with her appearance as a dancer in the music video for Lemon by N.E.R.D. and Rihanna. Since then, she appeared in blockbusters like Hustlers and Cats, graced The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and landed a role in the superhero film The Old Guard. As a singer, she debuted her song 'Petrified' in 2021, and opened for major artists, including Jessie Ware and Taylor Swift. Her song 'Darling Drive', a melody inspired by her childhood street in Minnesota was released in 2024 with Scottish producer Sam Gellaitry. Currently, Towley resides in Los Angeles, continuously widening her horizons in the industry.
