What's After the Movie
**Michael Harris Greene** (November 4, 1933 – January 10, 2020) was a cherished American actor, active in the film industry from the 1960s through the 1990s. Born in San Francisco, California, he was the son of Gladys (née Pugh) and Harry Greene. Interestingly, Greene's early acting career was dominated by a variety of roles in western movies. His credibility as a versatile actor can be seen through his appearances in over 100 television and film roles, including the 1962 film _This is Not a Test_, where he was credited as Mike Green. In October of 1966, Greene portrayed a character named Nubu in an episode of the popular TV series _Lost in Space_, exhibiting his talent for nuanced performances. His breadth of work also includes a leading role in the 1973 film _The Clones_. He daringly took up the role of Jimmy Hart, William Petersen's ill-fated partner in _To Live and Die in L.A_. To add to his illustrious career, he co-starred as Deputy U.S. Marshal Vance Porter in the short-lived ABC–Warner Brothers western series _The Dakotas_, co-starring with Larry Ward, Jack Elam, and Chad Everett. This particular series added significantly to his fame, although it was controversially cancelled by ABC after only 19 episodes were aired during 1963. Greene lived a fulfilling life that sadly came to an end in Maui, Hawaii in January 2020, at the age of 86.
