Brigitte Michael "Mickey" Sumner (born 19 January 1984) is an acclaimed English actress recognized largely for her impressive roles in both film and television. Her most notable parts include Sophie Levee in the cinematic piece Frances Ha (2012), Farrah in The Mend (2014), Katia on the television series Low Winter Sun (2013), and Bess Till in the series Snowpiercer (2020). Sumner had the unique privilege of portraying the legendary Patti Smith in the film CBGB (2013). She is also the first daughter of popular rock musician Sting (born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner) and actress Trudie Styler and has a younger sibling, musician Eliot Sumner. Mickey Sumner kick-started her acting journey in 2006, gracing a series of short films with her talent. In 2011, she secured the part of Francesca on Showtime's series The Borgias, where she added her spark to four significant episodes. Her role as Sophie Levee in Frances Ha not only expanded her acting portfolio but also helped her gain critical recognition in 2012. This versatile actress made her official off-Broadway debut opposite Carol Kane in the Atlantic Theater Company's The Lying Lesson in the year 2013.
