Miranda Taylor Cosgrove, born May 14, 1993, is an accomplished American actress, producer, and former singer. Launching her career at the tender age of seven, Cosgrove began with TV commercials before making her acting debut in School of Rock (2003). Later, she became a household name with her breakthrough role as Megan Parker in the Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh (2004–2007). Not limited to TV, Cosgrove also voiced Margo in the ever-popular Despicable Me film series (2010–present) and hosted Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove (2019–present). As a singer, Cosgrove made her musical debut in 2008 with the soundtrack for iCarly. Subsequently, she released her debut studio album, Sparks Fly, in 2010, which featured the gold-certified single 'Kissin U'.
Never away from the limelight, Cosgrove has been recognized by multiple prestigious organizations. Her accolades include four Kids' Choice Awards and an Emmy nomination. She was named the highest-paid child actor of 2012 by Guinness World Records and appeared on Forbes' ’30 Under 30’ list in 2022. Despite her vast fame and success, Cosgrove continues to contribute to her local community. She is an active supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Education Through Music and a national spokesperson for Light the Night Walk.
