**Mélanie Laurent** (French pronunciation: [melani loʁɑ̃]) is a renowned French actress, filmmaker, and singer. Born on the 21st of February, 1983, in Paris, France, her diverse and impressive career spans several decades. Her entry into acting was at the age of sixteen when acclaimed actor Gérard Depardieu cast her in a small role in 'The Bridge' (1999).
