Nadja Uhl

Nadja Uhl (born 23 May 1972) is a distinguished German actress and model. She was born and spent her formative years in Stralsund, East Germany. Uhl grew up in familial surroundings as she lived with her mother, aunts, and her grandparents who had moved in shortly after the war. Despite not knowing her father very well, she thrived in her school where she participated in various activities including shooting, ballet, and gymnastics. Her affinity for group activities was noted in her school report. She was eventually introduced to acting by an art teacher and began participating in a weekly amateur drama group after school, marking the genesis of her acting career. After high school, she advanced her studies at the renowned Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy College of Music and Theatre in Leipzig from 1990 to 1994. She kick-started her professional acting journey at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam and made her film debut in Thomas Koerfer's 'Der Grüne Heinrich' in 1993. Some of her notable roles include the films 'The Legend of Rita', 'Twin Sisters', 'The Baader Meinhof Komplex', and 'Der Kaktus'. Apart from acting, she co-opened a music hall with her partner in Potsdam back in 2006.
