Nash Grier

Hamilton Nash Grier, known professionally as Nash Grier, was born on December 28, 1997 in Greensboro, North Carolina, U.S. He grew up in a close‑knit family with parents Elizabeth Floyd and Chad Grier, the latter later becoming one of his managers. As the second‑oldest child, Nash shares his childhood with an older brother, NFL quarterback Will Grier, a younger brother Hayes who also dabbled in Vine, and a half‑sister Skylynn. While attending Davidson Day School as a freshman, he discovered the short‑form video app Vine in early 2013 and began posting comedic six‑second clips for friends. The spontaneity of his videos quickly proved to be a carefully crafted style, with dozens of takes and hours of editing behind each post, propelling him to become the platform’s second most‑followed creator by 2015. His viral popularity earned him appearances on shows such as Good Morning America and The View, and attracted lucrative brand deals that reportedly paid between $25,000 and $100,000 per campaign.

In addition to his solo success, Grier co‑founded the Magcon (Meet and Greet Convention) tour in late 2013, joining forces with fellow Vine stars like Cameron Dallas, Jack & Jack, and Taylor Caniff. Magcon’s live events drew thousands of fans eager to meet the internet celebrities in person. Despite a controversy in 2013 over a homophobic Vine that he later apologized for, Grier continued to expand his brand, launching merchandise lines, mobile games, and a clothing collaboration with Aéropostale titled “UnitedXXVI.” He transitioned into acting with a lead role in Fullscreen’s The Outfield (2015) and later appeared in the film You Get Me (2017).
