What's After the Movie
Natasha Dupeyrón (born Natasha Elizabeth Dupeyrón Estrada on 3 June 1991) is a prolific Mexican actress whose career spans more than three decades, beginning when she was a baby extra in the telenovela Doctor Cándido Pérez. Raised in a multigenerational acting family—her father Humberto Dupeyrón was a child star in the 1950s and her aunt Elizabeth Dupeyrón is also a respected performer—she was immersed in the entertainment world from the earliest days of her life. She trained at Televisa’s free drama school CEA and quickly became a familiar face in children's telenovelas such as Peregrina, Carita de ángel and De pocas, Pocas Pulgas, later transitioning to teen and adult roles with notable performances in Lola...Érase una vez and the blind‑teen heroine Lia in Juro Que Te Amo. Her breakthrough came with the musical series Miss XV (2012), where she not only acted but also sang as a member of the pop group Eme 15, delivering the hit single “Wonderland” and touring across Latin America. Beyond television, Dupeyrón has a substantial theatre résumé, starring in over a hundred productions of Vaselina (the Spanish version of Grease), as well as acclaimed plays like Infidelidades and La Llamada. In recent years she has expanded into film, earning critical praise for Cuando Sea Joven (2022) and receiving a Best Actress nomination at the Silver Goddesses awards, while also appearing in Netflix’s La casa de las flores and the period drama Señorita 89. A committed activist, she supports animal rights, feminist causes and multiple sclerosis awareness—drawing on her father’s diagnosis—and balances her public career with a private family life, having married fellow actor Yago Muñoz in 2019. Her diverse talents, from acting and singing to modelling for Maybelline and Garnier, make her one of Mexico’s most versatile contemporary entertainers.
