Núria Gago

Núria Gago Roca (born 10 March 1980 in Barcelona, Spain) is a celebrated Spanish actress and writer whose career spans over two decades, beginning in 2001 and continuing to the present. Growing up in the town of Moncada i Reixach, she attended Sagrat Cor school where she excelled academically while nurturing a lifelong dream of performing on stage. Her early experience with the amateur theater troupe Dèria Teatre introduced her to both street and classical theater, laying the groundwork for a versatile acting style that would later define her screen work. Gago first gained widespread recognition in Catalonia through the TV3 series El cor de la ciutat, portraying the character Rut from 2000 to 2003, a role that showcased her natural charisma and helped her transition to larger projects. In 2003 she made her cinematic debut in Achero Mañas’ Noviembre, and the following year earned a Goya nomination for Best New Actress for her compelling performance as Fany in Gracia Querejeta’s Héctor. This early accolade cemented her reputation as a rising talent in Spanish cinema. Subsequent television roles include the popular Antena 3 sitcom Mis adorables vecinos (2004‑2006) and the medical drama MIR (2008‑2009), while her filmography expanded with titles such as Tu vida en 65' (2006), Primos (2011) and Incidencias (2016). Beyond acting, Núria debuted as an author in 2015 with the novel Cuando volvamos a casa and won the prestigious Azorín Novel Prize in 2018 for Quiéreme siempre, a lyrical dialogue celebrating aging and female friendship.
