Patton Peter Oswalt, born on January 27, 1969, is an esteemed American stand-up comedian and actor. He gained recognition for his acting roles, particularly as Spence Olchin in the sitcom 'The King of Queens' (1998–2007) and narrating 'The Goldbergs' (2013–2023). Oswalt's career began with a debut in the Seinfeld episode 'The Couch', leading to appearances in numerous TV series such as 'Parks and Recreation', 'Community', 'Two and a Half Men', 'Drunk History', 'Reno 911!', 'Mystery Science Theatre 3000', and 'The Sandman'. He lent his voice to Remy in the animated film 'Ratatouille' (2007), various characters in the animated series 'BoJack Horseman', and played M.O.D.O.K in the 2021 animated series of the same name. He earned a Primetime Emmy Award and a Grammy Award for his Netflix special 'Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping' (2016). Before his successful career, Oswalt was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was a 'military brat' which led to his family living in various locations before settling in Sterling, Virginia. Oswalt began his stand-up comedy career on July 18, 1988. Oswalt's life is not just limited to his career, he was married to Michelle McNamara until her death in 2016. He remarried Meredith Salenger in 2017 and together they have one child.
