Richard Kind

**Richard Bruce Kind**, born November 22, 1956, is an acclaimed American actor and comedian known for his nuanced performances in both television and film. His acting history ranges from roles in sitcoms _Mad About You_ (1992–1999, 2019) and _Spin City_ (1996–2002), to more dramatic works such as _Stargate Atlantis_ (2006), _Curb Your Enthusiasm_ (2002–2021), and _East New York_ (2022–2023). He was also featured in films such as _Johns_ (1996), _Confessions of a Dangerous Mind_ (2002), _A Serious Man_ (2009), _The Angriest Man in Brooklyn_ (2014), and _Tick, Tick... Boom!_ (2021). Fans of Pixar may also recognize his voice from _A Bug's Life_, _Cars_, _Toy Story 3_, and _Inside Out_. His smorgasbord of roles and talents in voice acting contributed to his nomination for a Tony Award in 2013 for his work in _The Big Knife_. Richard Kind was born in Trenton, the capital of New Jersey, and grew up in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He attended Northwestern University, becoming an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and later working with Chicago's Second City. He played roles in popular TV shows such as _Scrubs_, _Two and a Half Men_, _Psych_, and _Law & Order: Criminal Intent_. He also has a history of work in theater, a platform he used to create the role of Addison Mizner in Stephen Sondheim's _Bounce_.
