Saoirse-Monica Jackson, born November 24, 1993, is renowned Northern Irish actress known for her compelling performances on screen. She reported remarkable persistence in breaking ground in acting, earning her first role in 2016. Jackson's launch into her acting career was her role as Sasha in Harlan Coben's, The Five, where she appeared in four episodes. In the same year, she played a part in the Birmingham Repertory Theatre's tour of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, exhibiting her versatility in theater and screen. She also had a minor appearance in the final episode of 2017 BBC One drama series Broken. Sãoirse blossomed further in 2018 when she scored the role of Erin Quinn in the Channel 4 sitcom Derry Girls, a performance that earned recognition and saw her nominated for the IFTA Gala Television Award for Best Female Performance. She continued in this role for three seasons until May 2022. Apart from acting, she and her Derry Girls co-stars participated in the RTÉ fundraising special, RTÉ Does Comic Relief. Donations collected on the night were given to sectors impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In her private life, she is engaged to Scottish DJ Hector Barbour, currently residing in Liverpool.
