Sebastian Maniscalco

**Sebastian Maniscalco**, widely recognized as American stand-up comedian and actor, was born on July 8, 1973, in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois, to Italian immigrants. His father, a hairstylist, and his mother, a secretary, originated from Sicily and Campania, respectively. As a Catholic, he served as an altar boy and later graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1995, majoring in communication studies. Following his move to Los Angeles, Maniscalco performed at open mics in bars and bowling alleys while working at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, where he worked from 1998 to 2005. He began his professional career in 2005 at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood, releasing his first special, Sebastian Live, in 2009. His work extends to several films such as The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature, The House, Tag, and Cruise. He also made appearances in TV shows, most notably in the TV series *Bookie*. Maniscalco has additionally authored books, the memoir 'Stay Hungry' being one of his notable works. Known for his nostalgic humor grounded in personal family experiences, he often speaks about being raised in an old-school environment. He married Lana Gomez in August 2013, and they have two children.
