Souheila Yacoub

Souheila Yacoub, born on 29 June 1992, is a multi-talented Swiss actress, theatre maker, and former rhythmic gymnast. Yacoub is also known for winning the title of Miss Suisse Romande in 2012. She has had a dynamic career, having acted in films such as Climax (2018), Making Of (2023), and Dune: Part Two (2024). She has also appeared on television, notably in the Canal+ miniseries Savages (2019). Souheila has had a colorful life journey, born in Geneva to a Tunisian father and a Flemish mother and having a sister. As a teenager, she was part of the Swiss National Rhythmic Gymnastics team and competed in the World Championships in 2009 and 2010. However, she quit the sport after the team did not qualify for the Olympics and supported her former teammates' allegations of abuse in 2021. After quitting gymnastics, Yacoub paved a new path for herself, winning the title of Miss Suisse Romande and enrolling in acting and dance classes. This journey led her to a three-year programme at the Cours Florent in Paris on a scholarship. She made her TV debut on France 3 soap opera Plus belle la vie and then landed her first major theatre role in Wajdi Mouawad's play Tous des oiseaux. She also starred in Gaspar Noé's horrifying 2018 film Climax and Canal+ miniseries Savages in 2019. She founded the theater company 23h59.
