What's After the Movie
Stephen Andrew Baldwin is an American actor, producer, director, and activist born on May 12, 1966. With a career active since 1986, Baldwin made his cinematic mark in the films Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Posse (1993), 8 Seconds (1994), Threesome (1994), The Usual Suspects (1995), Bio-Dome (1996) and The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000). Baldwin also garnered recognition on the small screen, with roles in the television series The Young Riders and as himself in reality shows Celebrity Big Brother 7 and Celebrity Apprentice. In 2004, he directed Livin' It, a Christian-themed skateboarding DVD. Born in Massapequa, New York, he is the youngest of the four Baldwin brothers, renowned actors in their own rights. His father was a high school social studies teacher and football coach and his mother, the founder of The Baldwin Fund. Baldwin attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was active in the varsity wrestling team during his high school years.
Stephen Baldwin resides in the village of Nyack, New York, with his wife, the Brazilian graphic designer Kennya Baldwin (née Deodato), whom he met in 1987 and married in 1990. They have a familial clan that includes two model daughters, Alaia and Hailey Bieber, the latter of whom is married to Canadian singer Justin Bieber. Their family nest expanded with the birth of two grandchildren. For Baldwin, his faith plays a central role in his life. He shares his experiences as a born-again Evangelical after the September 11 attacks in 2001 in his book titled The Unusual Suspect. He co-founded Breakthrough Ministry and Antioch Ministry to use extreme sports as a medium to minister to others. He also launched a third ministry, Now More Than Ever, to reach enlisted men and women in the U.S. armed services.
