Susan Wokoma

**Susan Indiaba Wokoma** is a versatile British talent, recognized for roles as Edith in the Enola Holmes films, Cynthia in Chewing Gum, Raquel in Crazyhead and Fola in Cheaters. She was born on 31 December 1987 in London, England to Kalabari parents from Rivers State in South-South Nigeria, and made her television debut as a participant in CBBC's Serious Jungle in 2002 at just 14 years old. She was also a member of The National Youth Theatre, where she debuted professionally in the BAFTA-winning That Summer Day. Her academic achievements include a bachelor's degree in acting from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, from which she graduated in 2010. Wokoma's rise in her profession was further cemented when she was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe in 2017 and named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit the same year. Since graduating, Wokoma's television appearances have expanded to include Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Crashing, as well as films like Half of a Yellow Sun and The Inbetweeners 2. Her theatre work spans top tier productions at the Royal Court, Bush Theatre, Almeida Theatre and more. Wokoma's West End theatre debut came alongside Martin Freeman and Tamsin Greig in the premiere of Labour of Love, which won an Olivier Award in 2017. She has also made a splash in voice acting, winning the RTS Best On-Screen Performance award in 2017 for Crazyhead, and playing Princess Talanji in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. To this day, Wokoma continues to build upon her versatility, adding writing to her skillset with contributions to Romesh Ranganathan’s sitcom The Reluctant Landlord in addition to her own works - even making her directorial debut in May 2022 with her own feature film, Three Weeks.
