Thanapob Leeratanakachorn, known professionally as Tor, was born on 14 February 1994 in Bangkok, Thailand, the youngest of three children in a Thai‑Chinese family. His parents, Chatchawan and Areeya Leeratanakachorn, gave him the birth name Nutthanun Leeratanakachorn, and his Chinese surname is Lee (李). He attended Adventist Ekamai School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Technology from Kasetsart University, graduating from the Department of Packaging and Materials Technology, Faculty of Agro‑Industry. Thanapob began his entertainment career in 2011, appearing in music videos such as Da‑Endorphine’s “It’s Time to Listen,” and made his television debut in the Club Friday: The Series episode “Once in Memory” in 2012. In 2013 he joined the renowned agency Nadao Bangkok and landed the breakout role of Phai in the cult hit Hormones: The Series, which catapulted him to nationwide fame and earned him a Silver Doll Award for Outstanding Male Rising Star at the 30th Surasawadee Royal Award. He continued to build a diverse portfolio, starring in films like The Swimmers (2014) and May Who? (2015), for which he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 25th Suphannahong National Film Awards. His versatility shone through in series such as Project S: The Series – Side by Side (2017), where he portrayed an autistic badminton athlete, securing the Best Actor Award at the 9th Nataraj Awards in 2018. In 2018, Thanapod expanded into music as a member of the project boy group Nine by Nine, releasing the mini‑album “En‑Route” and touring across Thailand, while also acting in the acclaimed drama In Family We Trust that earned him the Actor of the Year award at the 2018 GQ Thailand Men of the Year Awards. Subsequent leading roles in Man of Vengeance (2019) and The Last Promise (2020) solidified his status as a top‑tier Thai actor, and his films One for the Road and the Netflix original Ghost Lab (2021) demonstrated his international appeal. Recognized by HOWE Thailand as one of the Top 50 Most Influential People in 2021, Thanapob transitioned to personal management under TNPLEE.connect in July 2022 after Nadao Bangkok scaled back its artist operations, continuing to shape Thai entertainment with his talent and charisma.
