Thorbjørn Harr

**Thorbjørn Harr**, born on May 24th, 1974, is a distinguished Norwegian actor. A cinematic and theatrical powerhouse, Harr's entrance into the industry started on the schoolyard when he was discovered by NRK scouts looking for fresh talent for youth series shows. Not long after this serendipitous encounter, he gained prominence on programs such as Blikkbåx and U, creating a track record of consistent appearances in notable ventures such as the 1991 TV movie, Frida - med hjertet i hånden. His big screen debut came in 2003 with the film Mot Moskva. Aside from screen acting, Harr has demonstrated his versatility through stage acting as well. Post-graduating from The Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 2000, he quickly became an essential part of the National Theatre in Oslo, with almost 20 appearances in their productions by 2007. **Harr's roles** have not been confined to Norwegian productions. He landed a significant role in the acclaimed mini-series Lekestue broadcast on NRK in 2002 and played the lead in Mars & Venus (2007). His role as Jarl Borg in History's Vikings garnered international recognition, and he continues to capture audiences in the American comedy-drama series Younger, where he plays Hilary Duff's love interest. Behind the scenes, he runs Teatersport Oslo alongside comedian Harald Eia and two others, demonstrating his commitment to the evolution of theatre. His audiobook recordings and winnings of several prominent awards, including the Norwegian Theatre Critics Award, showcases the extent of his contribution to the industry. He remains an active force within the Norwegian and international acting domains while balancing his role as a husband and father of three.
