Agnieszka Smoczynska

Agnieszka Smoczyńska, born on the 18th of May 1978, is a critically acclaimed Polish film and television writer and director. She hails from Wrocław, Poland and has made significant contributions to the world of cinema since she began her career in 2003. An alumnus of the renowned Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, Smoczyńska has developed a strong foothold in the industry with her unique artistic vision and storytelling abilities. Her debut feature film, The Lure (2015), not only garnered a lot of attention but was also re-released by The Criterion Collection in 2017, signaling her place among noteworthy filmmakers.
