Andrew Dominik (born 7 October 1967) is an esteemed Australian film director and screenwriter. Originally born in Wellington, New Zealand, he moved to Australia at the age of two and has lived there ever since. His film career flourished in 2000 when he made his directional debut with the acclaimed crime film Chopper, featuring the notorious Australian criminal Mark Brandon 'Chopper' Read. His career took a significant leap with the Western drama film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Cowboy Robert Ford in 2007.

In 2012, he churned out yet another masterwork with the neo-noir crime film Killing Them Softly, followed by the biographical psychological drama Blonde in 2022. Besides feature films, Dominik made noteworthy contributions in cinematography and screenwriting, evident from his work in the documentary film One More Time with Feeling (2016) and two episodes of the Netflix series Mindhunter which aired in 2019. He has collaborated with known industry names like Brad Pitt and Michelle Bennett, and endeavors in musics videos and commercials as well.
