Brad Peyton

**Brad Peyton**, born on May 27, 1978, is a renowned Canadian filmmaker acknowledged chiefly for directing movies starring Dwayne Johnson. These include _Journey 2: The Mysterious Island_ in 2012, _San Andreas_ in 2015, and _Rampage_ in 2018, alongside the Netflix series _Daybreak_ in 2019. Originally from Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Peyton graduated from the Canadian Film Centre. He first gained recognition with a short film and gothic comedy named _Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl_ in 2002, well received by both classmates and New York film industry lawyers. Moreover, Peyton's film was screened in the Toronto International Film Festival that same year. Continuing his foray in television, Peyton created and produced the unconventional claymation TV series _What It's Like Being Alone_ in 2006. Films under his direction include _Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore_ (2010), _Journey 2: The Mysterious Island_ (2012), _San Andreas_ and the horror film _Incarnate_ both in 2015. More recently, in 2018 he directed _Rampage_. Peyton also directed the feature film adaptation of _Malignant Man_, and has been reported to be involved in an upcoming project titled _Black Hole_. He is also set to direct a film adaptation of the video game series _Just Cause_ with Jason Momoa. It was announced in July 2018 that he held multiple roles in the Netflix series _Daybreak_, which premiered in October 2019 as an executive producer, writer, director and co-creator.
