Daniel Espinosa

Jorge Daniel Espinosa, known professionally as Daniel Espinosa, is a prominent Swedish film director, screenwriter and film producer of Chilean origin. Espinosa was born on March 23, 1977 in Stockholm, Sweden. He showed an early interest in film and pursued it through formal education, graduating from the renowned National Film School of Denmark in 2001. Early on in his career, he became a significant figure in the international cinematic scene.

Espinosa's career is most notable for his work in Swedish cinema. His third feature film, Easy Money, was the most attended Swedish film in 2010, showcasing his ability to create compelling stories that resonate with audiences. There were even talks about Espinosa directing the film adaptation of the popular game franchise Assassin's Creed, although that endeavor ultimately went to Justin Kurzel. Espinosa's contribution extends to the international stage, particularly the Sony's Spider-Man Universe with his latest involvement in the Morbius (2022), albeit critically panned.
