Ed Perkins

Edwin Arend Perkins, commonly known as Ed Perkins, is a noteworthy Canadian mathematician renowned for his considerable contributions in the field of Mathematics. Born on 31 August 1953, he has been thriving in his scientific career with an impressive track record. He is recognized for his role as a Professor of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia since 1989, where his notable work and accomplishments are well commemorated. Furthermore, he has held the position of Canada Research Chair in Probability since 2001, reflecting his expertise and crucial contributions to the discipline. What additionally sets Ed Perkins apart is his esteemed membership in distinguished scientific societies. More precisely, he was elected to the Royal Society of Canada in 1988, nearly a decade after initiating his professional journey.
