Robert Eggers

Robert Houston Eggers, an American filmmaker and production designer best known for his historical horror films such as The Witch (2015) and The Lighthouse (2019), was born on July 7, 1983. He evolved from his origins in New York City where he was born to Kelly Houston, to becoming a successful film director, renown for his mastery in storytelling and precise detail to historical structures. In his early life, his family moved from Wyoming to New Hampshire, where he later moved to New York in 2001 for his studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
