Sam Fell

Samuel Jason Fell, born 22 November 1965, is a multi-faceted British talent recognized for his notable contributions to the film industry. He has been widely acclaimed as an animator, director, screenwriter, and voice actor. His career started with directing the short film 'The Big Cheese' for 3 Peach Animation. From there, he landed an opportunity at the prestigious Aardman Animations, working on ground-breaking projects like 'Pop', 'Wat's Pig', and 'Rex the Runt'. His directorial skills saw further expression with the 2002 project 'Chump' and he also spread his wings into TV, developing a children's TV series called 'Rabbits!'.

In 2001, he conceived the idea for the internationally popular film 'Flushed Away', spending 2002 developing the story and proceeded to co-direct the film with David Bowers from 2003. His voice acting skills came to the fore with Flushed Away as well, providing voices for different characters. His directorial prowess continued into 2008 with 'The Tale of Despereaux' for Universal Studios, where he also voiced the characters Ned and Smudge. Another significant milestone was achieved when Fell co-directed Laika's 'ParaNorman' with Chris Butler, which was released in the United States, earning widespread acclaim in 2012.
