Amanda Seyfried

**Amanda Michelle Seyfried**, an American actress, singer, and songwriter, began her acting career at 15. Born on December 3, 1985, she first featured in recurring roles _As the World Turns_ (1999–2001) and _All My Children_ (2003). Seyfried rose to prominence following her debut in _Mean Girls_ (2004), and other notable roles include _Veronica Mars_ (2004–2006) and _Big Love_ (2006–2011). Seyfried has starred in various films, such as _Mamma Mia_ series, _Jennifer's Body_ (2009), _Dear John_ (2010), and _Letters to Juliet_ (2010). Seyfried's portrayal of Marion Davies in _Mank_ (2020) earned her critical acclaim and nominations for the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award. In the Hulu miniseries _The Dropout_ (2022), her role as Elizabeth Holmes won her the Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award. In 2022, she was named one of Time's 100 most influential people. Seyfried, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is of German, English, Scots-Irish, and Welsh ancestry. She attended William Allen High School and was enrolled at Fordham University, but she left to pursue her leading role in _Mean Girls_ (2004). Seyfried started modeling during her high school and appeared in print ads for clothing companies and covers of the Sweet Valley High novel series. At 17, she transitioned into acting with soap operas and eventually hit films. Seyfried's performance in the box office success _Mean Girls_ earned her an MTV Movie Award.
