Anders Danielsen Lie

Anders Danielsen Lie, born on 1 January 1979, is a Norwegian actor, musician and physician who is known for playing emotionally complex, sometimes mentally disturbed, characters. He made his film debut at the age of 11 in the title role of Herman (1990) by Erik Gustavson. Remarkably, he has had a long-term collaboration with director Joachim Trier, featuring in Trier's prominent Oslo trilogy. Alongside acting, Danielsen Lie pursued his interest in music, releasing two albums, This Is Autism (2011) and IDIOSYNCRASY (2024). Despite his hectic schedule in acting and music, he still manages to maintain his practice working as a general practitioner in-between movies in Oslo. In addition to all of this, he worked as a medical supervisor for the COVID-19 vaccination center and contact trace team in the Nordre Aker borough of Oslo. He also co-authored a Norwegian language non-fiction sexual education book for young adults, Sex og sånt, which received an award from the Royal Ministry of Culture and Equality and nomination for the Brage Prize. Danielsen Lie's extensive contribution to different arenas brings in exceptional diversity on screen and off.
