Blake Jenner

**Blake Alexander Jenner** was born on August 27, 1992, and is a notable American actor and singer. Jenner shot to fame following his victory in the second season of Oxygen's 'The Glee Project'. Consequently, he landed a role as Ryder Lynn on Fox's musical comedy-drama series 'Glee'. Following Glee, Jenner has been a part of a variety of projects, including 'Everybody Wants Some!!' (2016), 'The Edge of Seventeen' (2016), 'American Animals' (2018), and 'What/If' (2019). Jenner has displayed his passion for the arts from a young age, developing an interest in music and film and even learning to play the drums at the age of nine. His career picked up speed after he moved to Los Angeles with a mere $2,500, taking on roles as a waiter, clothing store associate, and parrot salesman while auditioning for acting roles. Jenner's breakthrough came with The Glee Project and Glee. After Glee, he went on to write the screenplay for 'Billy Boy' and pursued crowdfunding for its production. At the same time, he was cast in horror films and comedy dramas, continuing to show his versatile acting skills. In his personal life, Jenner was previously engaged to his former Glee co-star Melissa Benoist, reportedly marrying her in 2015. There were speculations that the couple might have tied the knot even earlier in 2013. By late December 2016, the couple was headed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences, which was finalized the following year. Jenner, however, became the subject of controversy when his former wife, Melissa Benoist, revealed herself as a survivor of domestic violence, to which Jenner later admitted. He claimed the abuse to have been mutual with Benoist having physically assaulted him as well during their relationship. Although the physical and mental welbeing of both parties were affected, the detailed events and the extent to the claims are a discussion that only the individuals involved can understand fully.
