**Elizabeth Marvel** is an accomplished American actress, born on November 27, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Mohnton, Pennsylvania and attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy and later the Juilliard School. Elizabeth started her acting career in the early 1990s with off-Broadway plays. Her first professional role was as Isabella in Measure for Measure at Canada's Stratford Festival in 1992. Throughout her career, she earned Obie Awards for her brilliant performances in Thérèse Raquin, Misalliance, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Hedda Gabler. Elizabeth gained widespread attention when she joined the CBS series The District where she played the role of Nancy Parras for four seasons. Her stellar acting career also includes roles in renowned TV series like Law & Order, The Good Wife, and Nurse Jackie among others. Elizabeth keenly explored the cinematic world and appeared in films such as Burn After Reading, True Grit, and Lincoln, the latter where she acted alongside her husband Bill Camp. Her acting prowess was noted in Netflix's political drama House of Cards where she portrayed Heather Dunbar, and later as President-elect Elizabeth Keane on the renowned Showtime drama series, Homeland. Apart from her film and television roles, Elizabeth portrayed Louisa May Alcott in a documentary profile that aired on the PBS series American Masters. In 2013, she took a lead role in the CW family drama pilot Blink, opposite John Benjamin Hickey. Since then, Elizabeth has remained significantly active in the film and theater industry, carving a niche as a talented and versatile actress.
