**Elizabeth Perkins**, born on November 18, 1960, is an acclaimed American actress widely recognized for her numerous roles across screen and stage. Over the years, Perkins has taken on characters in both film and television, garnering praise for her versatile performances. She truly made her mark on Hollywood with roles in films such as 'About Last Night' (1986), 'From the Hip' (1987), 'Big' (1988), and 'The Flintstones' (1994). In 1984, she kickstarted her acting career on Broadway with Neil Simon's 'Brighton Beach Memoirs' and continued to impress audiences with her work in various ensemble companies. In film, Perkins delivered a standout performance alongside Tom Hanks in 'Big' before turning heads in Barry Levinson's 'Avalon'. She emerged as a strong lead opposite William Hurt in 'The Doctor' (1991) portraying a terminal cancer patient.
