What's After the Movie
**Emily Berlese Goss** was born on April 1, 1990, and is an applauded actress who has left her mark in theatre, television, and film. Embracing diverse roles, she has played both straight and queer characters across various genres and platforms. Notably, Goss bagged three Best Actress awards for her performance in _The House on Pine Street (2015)_. She later featured in _Season of Love (2019)_, playing a queer character, and has reprised such roles in _Snapshots (2018)_, a web series titled _Dating in Place (2020–present)_, and various other presentations. Regarding her early life and background, Goss was born and raised in San Mateo, California. She developed a passion for theatre while studying at Crystal Springs Uplands School. Later, she graduated from the USC School of Dramatic Arts and also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Her acting influences include renowned names like Maggie Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, and Jackie Chan. Her breakout role was the character of Jennifer in _The House on Pine Street_, directed by the Keeling brothers. In 2021, Goss also starred in a horror film called _Shook_ exploring the theme of social media. It was released on the streaming service Shudder. Goss is set to make her debut as a director, producer, and writer with a short film titled _A Little House in Aberdeen_. Supporting the representation of LGBT people and people of color in film, Goss strongly believes in giving space to voices often unheard.
