Emily Irene VanCamp, born May 12, 1986, is a renowned Canadian actress. She first got her break by teaming up with producer Greg Berlanti, known for casting her as a regular on The WB drama Everwood (2002–2006) and the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters (2007–2010). VanCamp further thrust herself into the spotlight by taking on the lead role of Emily Thorne on the ABC series Revenge from 2011 to 2015. From 2018 to 2021, she marked her presence in the Fox medical drama series The Resident, while also making a significant contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), characterized by her performances in the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War (2016), as well as the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and What If...? (2021–2024). VanCamp was born in Port Perry, Ontario. Her early interests gravitated towards dance, but this soon evolved towards acting, making her first strides in the industry in 1998.
