Eric Christian Olsen is an accomplished American actor, best known for his distinct portrayals of roles such as Investigator Marty Deeks in NCIS: Los Angeles, Austin in the film Not Another Teen Movie, and Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. Born on May 31, 1977, in Eugene, Oregon, his passion for acting led him in various directions. It recalled that he had accrued great skill in improvisation while training with ComedySportz Quad Cities before he eventually integrated the cast. He also cultivated his talents through numerous local theater performances.

Olsen's career started with the title role in the 1999 TV movie Arthur's Quest. His next significant part was in the Fox TV series Get Real, playing Cameron Green. Progressing swiftly, Olsen made his transition onto the big screen in the film Pearl Harbor. His trajectory of unique roles continued as he played Detective Marty Deeks on the CBS show NCIS: Los Angeles and starred in the science-fiction horror film The Thing. Apart from his active acting career, Olsen took the leap to work behind the camera. In 2014, he produced a short film titled 'Bald,' further contributed as an executive producer for Andy Irons: Kissed by God in 2018 and a Hulu show 'Woke' in 2019.
