Harris Dickinson (born 24 June 1996) is an English actor who began his professional acting journey in British television. His career took a turn for the better when he landed his first lead role in the drama film Beach Rats (2017), earning him a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead. Following this, he played a significant role in the FX drama series Trust in 2018, portraying the character John Paul Getty III. Dickinson subsequently starred in notable films including Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), The King's Man (2021), Triangle of Sadness (2022), Where the Crawdads Sing (2022), and The Iron Claw (2023). Over his blossoming career, he's garnered two BAFTA Awards nominations.
Born and raised in Leytonstone, East London, Dickinson passionately pursued the arts, specifically film and theatre, from an early age. After a brief potential detour into the Royal Marines, his passion for art prevailed and he decided to drop out of school to pursue acting. His acting amplitude has been recognized and lauded by critics, such were the praises of Ed Potton of The Times for his remarkable south Brooklyn accent in Beach Rats. His roles in Netfilx's Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and The Darkest Minds further cemented his reputation in the industry. Dickinson's role as Conrad Oxford in 2021's The King's Man added a BAFTA Film Award nomination to his accolades. He left audiences and critics impressed with his performance in Triangle of Sadness and continues his successful career with roles in compelling films and series set to premiere in the coming years.
