Harry Shum Jr. (born April 28, 1982) is an American actor known for notable roles in popular television series and films. He gained recognition for his roles as Mike Chang on the Fox television series Glee (2009–2015), Magnus Bane on the Freeform television series Shadowhunters (2016–2019), and Benson Kwan on the ABC television series Grey's Anatomy (2022–present). In addition to TV series, Shum has featured in films such as Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D, White Frog, and Crazy Rich Asians, showcasing his versatility across different genres and characters. He received nominations for six Screen Actors Guild Awards for best ensemble performance, winning for Crazy Rich Asians, Glee, and Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Shum's evolution from dance to acting is quite remarkable. He started his career as a dancer, earning spots alongside notable artists in their tours and videos, before switching to acting.
